" And this our life, exempt from puplic haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything." ~William Shakespeare~
"All are but parts of one stupendous whole,
Whose body Nature is, and God the soul."
~Alexander Pope (1688-1744)
The careful insect 'midst his works I view,
Now from the flowers exhaust the fragrant dew,
With golden treasures load his little thighs,
And steer his distant journey through the skies."
~John Gay~
These photos were taken a few days ago when the sun was shinning and the bees were frantically doing their work. The air was buzzing with activity. They paid me no attention and continued on with what they needed to do. It seems so focused and important a task for them.....
I think there is a lesson here.
It was a rainy and damp day in Paris, but I couldn't stand the thought of being cooped up inside all day!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a lovely Sunday!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fascinating landscape surrounds you! I've never seen a tree like the one in your third photo. And that first one has a majestic silhouette. I can see why you enjoy your walks :)
ReplyDeleteHi Connie, it rained hard here too for a couple of days. How refreshing, and the air is so sweet. Everything was bright green today, and the ocean was such a deep teal. Beautiful. Thank you so much for your continued support, I truly appreciate it. Things are getting back to normal, hopefully. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with our family, say hi to Sis for me! Hugs & love, Riki

What beautiful photos! The manzanita started my heart aching though, and I could almost smell 'mountain misery' somewhere in the background! ;)
