  1. because it was the day that God made a way for us to come back to him; He gave himself.

  3. Could possibly have come down from God's Friday. Or perhaps from the good and meaningfulness that came from the day.

    Excellent question.

Word verification on this post -- defie. Appropriate for this day. Jesus defied mortal men, but obeyed his Father to pay the price for our sins.

  4. I have often wonder the same thing. Why call it Good Friday. I am a christian and I know why Jesus died on the cross for us. Have a great day and a blessed Easter. Madeline

  5. Good enough reason to have a Bank Holiday in Britain, so we don't knock it.
Seriously it is meant to represent the day Jesus died on the cross followed by his ascention. It is not a recognised special day in pre-Christian beliefs as days were not as important as moon and sun cycles.
Thanks for following my blog, I hope to give you a taste of the countryside.

  6. Poor little bird. What happened to it and where did you find it?

  7. How strange for it to die mid-flight like that with it's little wings still stretched out with places to go. Reminds me of the young ones that die in their hundreds on the roads.....all in a hurry with somewhere to go but never make it.
