It was, as I have said, a fine autumnal day; the sky was clear and serene, and nature wore that rich and golden livery which we always associate with the idea of abundance. The forests had put on their sober brown and yellow, while some trees of the tenderer kind had been nipped by the frosts into brilliant dyes of orange, purple, and scarlet.... As Ichabod jogged slowly on his way, his eye... ranged with delight over the treasures of jolly autumn. ~Washington Irving, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"

Hi there,
I found you via Bella Pink and I love your blog~~my grandparents had a 180 acre Dairy Farm in Massachusetts for over 40 years and when I saw your goats it just brought me back there. We had mostly cows, then horses, goats, sheep, dogs, and many, many cats and sweet kittens. . .I can't drive by an old farm with a barn without stopping to ask "Can I please smell the hay?" I will try to come back to read more... come visit~it's my first give away and would love to have you enter.

Best,
Michelle
