Have a Twinkie...

If I understand Mr. Orben correctly, folks who are over 50 and continue to eat Granola and wheat bread may not, necessarily, live a longer life.
So...I offer another option.
These goodies may just preserve the quality of your life, help you live longer and... they really taste good.

He also said, "Quit worrying about your health. It will go away."
.....That's the truth!

  4. Just looking at your photo of a Twinkie made me smile. Oh, those happy youthful days. I think I just may go get one! ....for the preservative value, you know ;)

  5. When you and I were children in the 50s a package of Twinkies cost a dime. When my son was a child in the mid 60s they had jumped to 15 cents. I haven’t even seen a Twinkie in years, what do they cost now? I’ve always wanted to try a deep-fried Twinkie, have you ever had one? I understand they’ve become something of a favorite at fairs. But then, the cost of food at fairs is so outrageous, I get just plain chintzy and won’t buy it. So I guess there are no fried Twinkies in my future. ~Dawn

  8. Oh yuck am I the only one? I think those "cakes", & I use the word loosely, are simply awful! Maybe because I did not grow up with them? Now offer me a cream bun[real cream of course] or a lamington, or a custard tart, & you have me!
Meanwhile I'll stick with balsamic vinegar to preserve my innards Farmlady,LOL.
