And a strange man in my house.
He's not really a strange man... he's an old friend who went to school with The Prospector and has come down from Washington State to visit.
We are so glad he's here.
Lot's of reminiscing going on.
Lot's of talk about " The good old days".
The only thing missing is... his wife, Ginny.
With all the fishing going on, it would be nice if you were here to keep me company. I can just take so much talk about big fish and "Remember Manteca when it was mostly chicken ranches and no freeways.
We could be shopping... and having lunch together, girl.
They went fishing again this morning. I think I will go for a hike or FELT something.
This is the man who stood up for us when we got married and we did the same for them... in Manteca... when it was all chicken farms...
He and the Prospector have known each other for a long time.
It's a good visit.
It sounds like your hubby and the strange man (friend) are having a nice visit, fishing and chatting about the past. Be sure and have fun too.
ReplyDeleteWell, now where is Ms. Ginny? Great that he came to visit and you all keep in touch :)
ReplyDeletenice...glad you are having a good visit...long time friends are an amazing thing..hope they have a good catch today too..
ReplyDeleteGood friends, and good memories... it doesn't get much better than that, does it?
ReplyDeleteBut it would have been nice for you, if the wife could have come.
The very best sort of visitor - one that brings memories with him. Maybe next time Ginny will come along?
ReplyDeleteIt is always nice to have old friends visit. Hope your husband and his friend enjoy themselves. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteWhat a great visit they are having. They have known each other forever! Hope they caught some fish, but I know they had a good time. See you in Sept.

Nothing cements your friendship like the history with old pals.
