Sisterhood and Vegetable Soup

My sister has arrived for a couple of days. It's so good to have her here. She comes from the busy bay-area; filled with thousands of people and cars and everyone going 100 miles per hour; so when she gets here it's like a retreat...., a bed and breakfast for family only. She takes a nap, cuddles with the dogs and takes a walk outside. I love watching her unwind . Later we will have something to eat and probably do something wild and crazy, like watch a movie and go to bed early. Doesn't that sound exciting?
We will have chicken-vegetable soup for dinner and , of course, bread pudding for dessert.

It's a sisterhood weekend. The prospector is gone for a couple of days, and we can do anything we want to: stay up all night, go bar hopping (right!), drive up to Lake Tahoe, or down to Vegas. The sky's the limit. As long as we are home at 4:00 p.m. to feed the dogs and take care of the chickens and the goats. I guess we won't be gettin' in too much trouble. So...., soups on. Care to join us?

  1. I like the Bay area but I always like coming home better :-) If you head to Tahoe you'll drive right by me... I think. Have a great time with your sis.

  3. Have a good time with your sister. From all the pictures you have posted of your home and surrounding area I know she will have a very restful time away from the big city.

  4. My sister and I try to get together at least once a year (she's in North Carolina). It is SO MUCH FUN! We always laugh and wonder why we never had this much fun when we were sharing a room way back when. : )
