“To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.”

Dear Cutterbutt, You are a very handsome boy. Will you be my boyfriend? Mom says it’s okay for us girls to ask boys these days. Some of my favorite things are chasing my “bird” on a stick, playing fetch with Mr. Fuzzyman and howling when the doorbell rings. I’m hoping that one day I can come to California and meet you. That would mean a trip in the car Daddy calls Arvee; isn’t that a funny name? I love taking trips and I’ve never been out west. Mom says you have some scary stuff there; something called a rattlesnake----if it rattles, isn’t it fun to play with? And she says there are great big kitties that would eat me up. Who ever heard of such a thing?
My Daddy got a big owie on his knee today because somebody called a sturgeon or surgeon or something like that, cut a hole in it and took some of his stuffing out----I bet my Mom yelled at him. She always yells at me when I pull stuffing out of Mr. Fuzzyman. Right now Daddy is sleeping but he won’t let me up on the bed with him. That makes me so sad. If you were here, we could play chase and tuggies and I would feel better. Mom says when she gets through writing this for me, we can snuggle in the big chair. That’s not as good as cuddling on the bed with Daddy in the afternoon, but it’s okay.
Maybe your Mom will show you a picture of me so you can decide if you want to be my boyfriend. Everybody says I’m pretty cute and one boy I know said I’m a hot chick!

We ave had dogs in the past and were just a family. After the last loss, there will be no more for me. Yours is just the cutest. Love the eyes.
