It's so painful to lose your friend and companion and then to watch Maggie looking and whimpering has to be painful not knowing what to do to help her. You understand about time, as do I, but I don't know if our furry kids have that concept.

Prayers for you, Prospector and Maggie, too.Reddirt Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08485995791439570214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170972260275595837.post-18704929961577971412009-03-20T20:44:00.000-07:002009-03-20T20:44:00.000-07:00Sounds silly, but I have a cat holding a place for...Sounds silly, but I have a cat holding a place for me in heaven. She was my best friend for 18 years. We could read each other's minds, I tell ya! I have dealt witha lot of loss and helped others as a hospice nurse. But losing my dog almost killed me. I wrote about it in some of my old posts his name is Rasmus. I believe that God who made the animals and us and gave us this ability to deeply love them will have them in heaven for us. There are plenty of people who would argue theology with me on that; but I don't care. It fits with God's tender love and the attributes of His goodness. He knows us, and His mercies are new every morning. I'm sorry for your loss, it's a big one. I also believe animals grieve, usually if they see them dead, they understand. We buried Rasmus here at home under a tree and a rosebush. Axel knew he was gone and so did the cats. My girls thought we were going to have to bury me too. I'll be praying for you.Karen Deborahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05892103639142471595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170972260275595837.post-75235673008651241942009-03-18T09:07:00.000-07:002009-03-18T09:07:00.000-07:00Sadly to say even though y'all never forget time d...Sadly to say even though y'all never forget time does have a way of healing all.
MollyMarjorie (Molly) Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08876434453158175693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170972260275595837.post-26544024459728340462009-03-18T06:31:00.000-07:002009-03-18T06:31:00.000-07:00It breaks my heart that I can't do more to ease yo...It breaks my heart that I can't do more to ease your pain.
