I'm so sorry for Brownie....maybe just maybe...you could cut off one horn of those other naughty goats and then maybe they will be nice!! I've heard that the weather has been really weird in northern CA. Our son is in Mariposa. They lost power, had mudslides, and tons of rain. And to think I'm griping about Ohio's weather..... Not too nice of me!Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12843513751203663201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170972260275595837.post-55089225452844602172011-03-26T13:59:06.644-07:002011-03-26T13:59:06.644-07:00Poor you! It sounds as if you've really had a time of it - as has Brownie!
I've been thinking on it, and it seems to me that Brownie sans horn = "LOSER" to the other goats, and some mild chastisement from you - with squirts from a squirt bottle right between their eyes, might nip anymore bullying in the bud. When he's trying to go in the house and they try and herd him back out, a good squirt might make then think twice.

The idea of you losing the pear tree makes my heart ache... I'll say a prayer that it recovers and possibly benefits from it's natural "trimming". I can't wait to see it for myself this summer, so I hope it hangs in there!!!Tatersmamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11991481246363893085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1170972260275595837.post-59291311208256517672011-03-25T05:56:27.140-07:002011-03-25T05:56:27.140-07:00Impressed by your words! We have been having nice weather but the weatherman said some places may get some frost tonight and severe weather for Saturday which means possible tornadoes and strong winds. Hope your weather turns brighter real soon. Have a blessed evening. Maybe you should cut one horn off of all of them, just to show them how it feels to walk around with your head permanently cocked to one side! When we moved to our home, the wind blew down 4 trees in the first two years. The amount of work it took to clear them away was amazing!
