A sigh of relief

IT"S RAINING!!!!!!!
No more watering for a while... no more worries about FIRE.
It's a soaking rain that settles the dust and smells wonderful. Even the chickens sound happy out there.
I want to go lay in it...
And then do a little dance. Fall is winning over Summer. Autumn is here.

On Monday I will leave for my sister's. Tuesday we drive to Petaluma for the Art is...YOU  art retreat.
This is what I'm taking with me...
I found all of these thrift shop dolls and stuffed animals at very little cost. No doll was more than $4.00. The stuffed animals were $1.25 each.
plus all of the "put it together" stuff below... the glues, molding pastes, paint and sticks and glue gun.
And these rather strange things that add "bizarre" to the creations.
I'm warning you. None of these will look like this after the retreat. The key word is 'altered" art.
The classes have names like "Steampunk Sally" and "Wild Things".  We will be creating art with all of this.
Sound like fun??
I think I'm ready. I will tell you all about it in a week or so.

  4. So glad the rains came for you...I know how it is to live 'dry'.
That feeling of looking out onto your garden and the hills beyond everyday hoping and praying for the wet stuff.
Can't wait to see what happens to all of that stuff after you're done with it! Yahoo!
