What a lady!

This photo is for my family and friends. I took it of my Mom in front of the Sunnyvale Care Home where she is staying for a while until she recovers from her fall. This was the second day and she was still not sure that she wanted to be here, but she smiled for the camera. That's our Mom: The lady was dressed, had her makeup on ( and lipstick ), wanted to sit outside and she told me to be sure that the door to the garage, at home, was open for the cat. "Be sure you make a bed for Honey on top of the dryer and keep her bowl filled with kibble." What a lady!

  1. She's darling. My Mom doesn't do the makeup dealie bob but she would be up and at em!! Seems that generation has much more fortitude than ours.
I know she misses her kitty and her home, glad you could be there (along with your sister to cheer her on.) Hope she won't have to stay "forever". Sending blessings your way.

  2. From the pic the place looks nice and sunny. Maybe you can get a good picture of her kitty for her to keep in her room... or a beanie baby that looks like her.

  4. I remember YEARS ago you gave me a salad dressing recipe that called for white pepper. The recipe originally came from your mom and I asked you if your mom really used white pepper or if black was okay. You looked like you were thinking and said that no, she used white pepper. I remember saying---because she is a lady???--and you answered yes, because she is a lady.
